The Soundskills Acoustic Scratch Band – a free, participatory music workshop
For budding singers, ukulele players, guitarists, tambourine shakers, violin players and more. Together we will sing and play to the best of our ability, whatever level you may be at, and with maximum enthusiasm. Following the format used by the regular Preston Scratch Band sessions, we will put together a small selection of well-known songs to be performed at the end of the session then again in Avenham Park on Saturday 3rd June and at The Ferret on Tuesday 6thJune.
Jon aveyard
Jon performs and leads music workshops around Preston as Preston Music Workshops. He is the musical director of the Worldwise Samba Drummers and deputises for Moira Hill of the Preston People's Choir. He also leads the Preston Scratch Band who meet to sing and play pop songs for their own enjoyment, the Green Choir of Cottam Community Centre and a weekly handbell ringing group also at Cottam Community Centre.
